Do you remember when 12” and 14” wheels dominated the aftermarket?  Check out our blog discussing the size evolution of the ATV/UTV wheel, and the 20” wheel options we have to offer!

Do you remember a when a 12” aftermarket wheel was the norm for quite some time?  Then the 14” wheel was introduced and took the aftermarket by storm. Naturally, 15” wheels came about next but did not seem to have the impact on the market like the 14” wheels did.  14” wheels may still be the most common size sold in the aftermarket today, but the evolution of the ATV/UTV wheel has definitely accelerated over the last few years.  16,17,18,20,22, and 24” wheels have all become much more common in the aftermarket over the last few years.  Today we're highlighting the 20” wheels we have to offer and their features. First, let’s look at the offerings from MSA.  They have four 20” wheel designs currently available; the new M36 Switch (pictured on the right), M32 Axe, M12 Diesel, and M30 Throttle.  All 4 wheels are a 20x7, come in the 4/137 and 4/156 bolt patterns, and feature a lifetime structural warranties.  The Shift, Axe, and Throttle share the same +0mm AKA 3.5+3.5 offset, while the Diesel is a +10mm AKA 4+3 offset. The Diesel and Throttle come in a gloss black finish, with the Throttle having optional colored replacement rings available in blue, white, orange, red, and chrome to customize it’s appearance to your liking.  The Axe is available in a Satin Black and a unique Matte Gray finish.  The new Shift wheels come in a gloss black with milled accents finish or machined spokes with gloss black rim, both have chrome rivets around the lip as well.  When it comes to weight, the Throttle is the heaviest of the three coming in at 29 lbs.  Next in line is the Shift at 26 lbs, then the Diesel at 23 lbs, with the Axe being the lightest at 18 lbs. KMC has two 20” offerings with the XS811 Rockstar II, and XS827 Rockstar III.  Both wheels are a 20x7 with Satin Black finish and +0mm or 3.5+3.5 offset.  They both come in at 29lbs on the scale as well.  The XS811 comes in the 4/110, 4/156, and 4/137 bolt patterns, while the XS827 only comes in the 4/156 and 4/137 bolt patterns. Both wheels have accessories available to customize the appearance to your heart’s desire.  The fins on the XS811 Rockstar II are interchangeable and you can get blue, white, orange, red, and pink. With the same color choices, the XS827 Rockstar III can either have a colored bead ring installed, or midspoke inserts that completely change the appearance of the wheel.  To left we have a set of the XS827 wheels with red midspoke inserts and red stars installed. Next up, Fuel Off Road.  Fuel has two entries in the 20" class, the Maverick and Sledge. The Maverick (pictured to the right) features a Matte Black finish, with machined spoke edges. The Sledge features a Gloss Black finish, with both wheels have chrome rivets around the lip of the wheel give it the aggressive look of a beadlock wheel. The Maverick averages 26 lbs, and the Sledge 24 lbs. Both wheels are 7” wide, available in the 4/137 and 4/156 bolt patterns, and feature a 4+3 offset. Fuel also offers a lifetime structural warranty on the wheels. Now that your educated on 20” aftermarket wheels, stay tuned for our next installment of the KJ Motorsports blog!
