Story

We have been selling Golf Cart tires and wheels for years, and decided it was time to dress up one of our own!  This build started out with a brand new 2017 E-Z-GO RXV ELiTE 4.0 2+2.  These new ELiTE series of carts from E-Z-GO feature Samsung SDI lithium technology that yields a more consistent output of power, better battery life, and over 200 lb. weight reduction over conventional batteries.  The 4.0 model batteries have a 120 Ah capacity, which gave us a 50 mile range while fully loaded, across varying terrains.  We picked this unit up while on a ride in Pennsylvania, here it is factory fresh at our campsite:

When we got the cart back to the shop, the first order of business was to outfit it with some proper wheels and tires. Many options were considered, but we chose the STI HD7 14×7 wheels in Radiant Red, with the Duro Excel Touring 225×40-14 tires.  The ATV/UTV version of HD7 with 4/110 bolt pattern and 5+2 offset, mated with MSA 1.5″ Golf Cart Wheel Adapters helped us achieve the wider stance we desired. The red of the HD7 wheel compliments the RXV’s Metallic Charcoal finish nicely. The Duro Excel Touring offers a modern tread design for stability, quiet operation, and was our best option for filling that pesky dead space in the wheel wells.  We also swapped the factory decals for custom Red & Black E-Z-GO replacement logos, to solidify the color scheme of the machine.

Next we upgraded the steering with the Madjax Burnout Steering Wheel with Red Stitched Accents. This wheel features an 13” outside diameter, and contoured grip for maximum driving comfort.   There is also a MobNetic Pro Kevlar phone mount in place for instant docking of your smartphone, with effortless pan, and 90-degree tilt adjustment. Under the rear seat we mounted a Pelican 12 Can Soft Elite Cooler to a custom made mount.  This is the perfect spot for the cooler as it keeps it tucked away, maximizing space for passengers, and other gear.

On our UTV shop builds we are known to heavily utilize aftermarket components.  Although for this cart we chose multiple upgrades from the manufacturer.  From E-Z-GO we have installed:
